No Dice

It didn’t work. I can’t do it.

The moment I write Oz or myself into the context of a story, everything I have been writing disappears. Just like that — Poof! — all my work, gone. Tried three times, then thought about calling up Microsoft to complain about this glitch in Word, but…

Who am I kidding. This isn’t a glitch in Word. It may even be more along the lines of Magic, but Oz knows it’s not a form of magic I like.

I can’t read stories about me. They appear blank. The moment the story I’m writing becomes about me, I can’t see it. I even tried using an alias, thinking I could do find-replace after… even that didn’t work.

Looks like we’re stuck depending on you guys, after all. Though I’m not exactly sure how I’m supposed to read your works, either. Maybe this “Mr. Administrator” has some way to bypass the blankness, I don’t know. I’m very frustrated right now.

That said, I really appreciate the extent to which you guys are going to make me comfortable with the process. I’ll give any notes possible to ensure I have a suitably evil homecoming.

You can count on us. We’ll get to work right when we find all of your echoes. This is currently our top priority.

Yes but you can read the stories of other fictionals, yes? By that logic, you could be able to refictionalize other fictionals, just not yourself. I mean if you think about it you could refictionalize everyone! And then just have us write one for you, or have another fictional write you back into fiction. AN INTERESTING THOUGHT HMM

Why would I write a story about someone else? I really don’t care about what happens to them.

      • Sarah T says:

Because then you might convince them to write a story about you and thus send YOU home.

You know what we said abou this world working differently? Give and take is one of the categories. For example: “You do this for me, I won’t tell anybody that you dumped that tonne of sewage into the everglades.” Or “You don’t shoot me in the back, my hand will remain well away from that conveniently located pickaxe”. That sorta thing, you know?

Gotta put up with these methods, for a little while longer.

Look at the campaign results. Those methods didn’t work. I see now reason to pretend to be something I am not.

Sorry it didn\’t work out. Though this does clarify things at least a little.

The refictionalisation process will begin, regardless of what goes on. If I might note, should the attempt to get you into the whitehouse fail… ever considered a career in science? I think you\’d have a knack for it.

Have you considered dictating it to an assistant? That way, your tale can be viewed by a third party who can see that your fiction remains adherent to the guidelines. By the way, if I could vote, I\’d vote for the Emerald Party tomorrow.
